Refund Policy

What cancelling does to the month you have already paid for, and the cases where we refund a charge.

Last updated: August 9, 2026

What you are paying for

A SpicaNova AI subscription is billed monthly, in advance, at the price shown on the plan you choose. Paying for a month buys that month of the service. Payment is handled by Stripe: your card details are entered on Stripe's hosted pages and never reach our servers.

This page is about refunding a charge that has already been taken. Cancelling is a different thing, and the two are easy to confuse, so it is described first.

Cancelling stops the next charge

You can cancel at any time. In Settings, under Plans, the Manage billing button opens the Stripe billing portal, where you cancel the subscription. There is no cancellation fee and no retention call.

Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not reverse the charge you have already paid. Your plan stays active for the rest of the period you paid for, you keep using it until that period ends, and nothing is billed after that.

We do not refund part of a month

If you cancel three days into a month you have already paid for, you keep the service for the remaining days of that month and we do not return the unused part. There is no pro-rata refund for a partial month.

The same holds if you stop using SpicaNova without cancelling. The subscription keeps renewing until it is cancelled, and a month that was billed and went unused is not refunded on that basis alone.

When we do refund

There are three cases where a refund is not a matter of goodwill or of our discretion. If one of them applies, tell us and we refund that charge in full.

One, a duplicate charge: you were billed twice for the same period.

Two, a charge after cancellation: the subscription was already cancelled and a payment was taken anyway.

Three, our billing error: the wrong plan, the wrong amount, or a charge on your account for something you did not sign up for.

These are not limited to the current billing period. If you spot a duplicate charge from a few months back, it is still a duplicate charge and we will still refund it.

How to ask for a refund

Email hello@spicanova.ai from the address on your account, with the date and the amount of the charge. We reply within two business days.

If we agree the refund, we issue it through Stripe, back to the card that was charged. From that point it typically takes five to ten business days to appear on your statement. That stretch of the timing belongs to Stripe and your bank rather than to us, so we cannot promise a date for it.

Please write to us before opening a dispute with your card issuer. If one of the three cases above applies we will refund it, and coming to us directly is faster for you than a card issuer's process.

How this sits with our Terms

Our Terms of Service say that past fees are generally non-refundable unless required by law or agreed in writing. This page is that writing. The three cases above are agreed here, in advance, for every customer, so none of them has to be negotiated at the moment it happens.

Outside those three cases, and outside anything the law where you live requires of us, past fees are not refunded.

Switching between plans is a different action and is handled in the same Stripe billing portal, not by us. If a plan change produces a charge you did not expect, write to us and we will look at it under the billing-error case above.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we change this page and the date at the top of it. The version published at the time you were charged is the version that applies to that charge.
